Last Call With Scott Hall
Say hello to the bad guy again.
In a YouTube series that I started following last year, legendary pro wrestler Scott Hall (Razor Ramon) breathes new life into his career by producing this three-sheets to the wind show called “Last Call with Scott Hall”.
Bottom line, I like it. It’s not over scripted. He may have an agenda in mind while filming, but it’s mostly off the cuff.
Is it approved by Dixie Carter and TNA? Maybe. But he started doing this before he was signed to TNA, so officials might be embracing viral media and using it as another way to sell the story. That’s the beauty of pro wrestling, especially in the era of smarks (smart marks – see below). They can pull a play-action pass when you totally bit on the run.
With Hall’s well known struggle with his demons, is this a perfect example of life imitating art or art imitating life?
Don’t for get that TNA Wrestling has moved to Monday nights on Spike TV and is now going head-to-head with WWE Monday Night Raw.
This latest episode features X-Kid Pac Waltman…or whatever he’s going by this week…
Smark definition from Wikipedia:
A phrase coined by Internet wrestling fans to describe a fan who enjoys pro wrestling despite or because they know that it is staged, as well as generally knowing the “ins-and-outs” of the company and knowing many things about the industry or wrestlers collected by sources and are posted online. “Smarks” are generally looked down on by wrestlers as well as other wrestling fans for supposed inability to suspend their disbelief. Smarks may also be criticized for believing they know more than they do in reality about the workings of the wrestling industry
